I spend most of my time creating this fantasy that I'm this free spirit without a care in the world who runs through wildflower fields with my hair billowing behind me and creates daisy chains while singing with the birds, a girl who doesn't need a job or money to survive, who just floats through the world experiencing every culture imaginable and swims through every sea in every ocean on the earth, who would whisper all of my secrets to the wind if I had any... but in reality, I'm constantly worrying about what others think of me and who I'm supposed to be, where my place is in this world and if I'll ever find it in time. Usually the stars are always caving in around me and I can't breathe. The butterflies get caught in my stomach and my thoughts catch in my throat and I can't speak. I'm just the girl who has to tie my feet to the ground to keep from floating away. I always need someone to convince me that it's okay to open my eyes just a sliver every once in awhile and let the Sun peak in. There's nothing special about me.
